We have scheduled the following foundation classes at the BOAF Office in Lake Mary. If you are interested in attending one or more of the classes, please complete the Registration Form and fax to 407-804-0308. These classes are designed to provide participants with a thorough familiarization of the subject matter. For that reason they are a great foundation for newly licensed inspectors, inspectors participating in the cross training program, applicants preparing for an exam, and inspectors that need a refresher.
Registration Form Mandatory workbooks for the classes are $40 per book...payable in advance. Workbooks are given to those students who paid on the first day of class.
Mechanical Foundation April 23-24 & 25 (Wednesday-Thursday-Friday). You must attend all three (3) days. Donny Pittman is the instructor for this class. You must also attend the Gas class. 1 Mandatory Workbook $40.
Plumbing Foundation April 30th & May 1st & 2nd (Wednesday-Thursday-Friday). You must attend all three (3) days. If you are interested in attending the class, please complete the Registration Form and fax to 407-804-0308. Mike Ricard is the instructor for this class. You must also attend the Gas class. 2 Mandatory workbooks $40 each.
Gas Foundation May 3rd (Saturday). Mike Ricard is the instructor for this class. 1 Mandatory Workbook.
Building Plans Examiner Foundation class May 7th-8th & 9th (Wednesday-Thursday-Friday) and May 15th & 16th (Thursday & Friday). Jim Ford is the instructor. 2 Mandatory workbooks $40 each.

Low Voltage Alarm Permit Process
Analysis of HB 973, approved by the BOAF Board of Directors on Saturday August 10th, regarding establishment of a new Low Voltage Alarm System Permitting Process. Please distribute to your chapter members for their use in responding to this statutory change. Every jurisdiction will need to take some kind of affirmative action prior to October 1, 2013.
