The Florida Suncoast Chapter is one of the many regional chapters of the ICC and BOAF, and is composed of code enforcement officials, architects, engineers, contractors, manufacturers, suppliers and other construction professionals, working together to promote professionalism in code application. The Chapter serves the entire Florida Suncoast, which includes Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough and Manatee counties.
We are committed to encouraging and promoting meaningful working relationships between member jurisdictions as well as promoting professionalism and a mutual understanding of codes and their enforcement between design professionals, contractors and enforcement personnel.
Our members enjoy many valuable benefits including Chapter sponsored seminars that are approved by the State for continuing education hours for building officials, plans examiners, inspectors, architects, engineers and contractors. As well, the Chapter regularly schedules manufacturers, suppliers and industry professionals to familiarize our members with new products, materials and techniques.
Code interpretation requests can be submitted to our Code Development Committee. The Committee, through a consensus process provides an official code interpretation that is recognized by each member jurisdiction. The committee’s efforts help to provide consistency and clarity throughout the Suncoast area for design, construction, plan review and inspections.
The Chapter also publishes a bi-monthly newsletter called the Chapter Chatter, which keeps members informed about industry news and events. We award scholarships each year to deserving students, host social events, and much more.
Thank you for using our website. We hope you visit often.
